Build My Meal.

Tell us what is in your kitchen. Heartwise Kitchen matches it against the reviewed recipes already on the site, then shows the closest meals and what you would still need.

Matches come from the current recipe collection, so new recipes are included automatically. Ingredient matching is a guide; check labels and your own clinical advice.

Worth knowing

A few checks before you cook.

“Heart healthy” is not a single prescription. Use these recipes as a starting point and make changes with the people who know your condition and medicines.

Check your own salt plan

For most adults, NHS guidance says no more than 6g of salt a day. That total includes salt already in food, not just what you add. Your clinician may give you different advice.

Read the tin and packet

Choose lower-salt or no-added-salt tins where possible, rinse beans and chickpeas, and compare labels. A recipe with no added salt can still contain salt from packaged ingredients.

Heart failure or kidney disease?

Your team may set individual salt, fluid or potassium guidance. Don’t follow a generic restriction or use potassium-based salt substitutes unless your clinician says they suit you.

Taking warfarin?

Leafy greens and other vitamin K foods do not need to be avoided, but sudden big changes can affect warfarin. Aim for consistency and check with your anticoagulation clinic.

Your food preferences

Use these to narrow recipes and meal ideas on this device.

Avoiding an ingredient here is a recipe filter, not an allergy guarantee. Check the ingredients and “may contain” information on every product label.

These links search the retailer’s catalogue; they do not add products to a basket. Check ingredients, allergens, salt content, availability and prices with the shop.
